The Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has expressed his administration’s commitment to investing in education, stating that the University of Aeronautics Engineering, Onueke, will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aviation and aerospace in Nigeria.Governor Nwifuru represented by his Deputy, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, made this assertion when he received the Certificate of Recognition and registration for the full takeoff of the Ebonyi State University of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering, Ezza, at the National Universities Commission (NUC) secretariat in Abuja.The State Governor emphasized that the university will equip citizens with the necessary tools to succeed in today’s competitive global landscape by providing cutting-edge knowledge and skills for students. He thanked the Executive Secretary of NUC, Prof Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, and the entire management of NUC for their approval and issuance of the certificate of recognition.Governor Nwifuru promised to ensure that the University provides innovative solutions to drive growth and development in the country. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to empowering Ebonyians through the provision of world-class educational institutions.The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof Grace Umezurike; Chief of Staff, Prof Emmanuel Echiegu; Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Prof Amari Omaka; Vice Chancellor of the University of Aeronautics Engineering, Onueke; other principal officers of the University; and Permanent Secretary, Abuja Liaison Office, Dr Kizito Nwovu, among others.
